It is an international educational robotics competition in which teams must build innovative robots to overcome a challenge, which is different every year.

To meet the challenges in the competitions, a solid knowledge of logic-mathematics is required, by applying numerical calculations and following logical programming patterns.

Creativity and problem solving are essential when building a robot and making it meet obstacles. Children are prepared to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions when the robot does not act as expected.

Throughout the year students participate in competitions where the goal is to achieve the greatest possible efficiency by solving a challenge together with students from other academies. Which means they have to help each other.

Recreationally stimulates interest in science and technology

Through innovative education platforms, children and young people develop academic skills in the areas known as STEM, by its acronym in English, and related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

There are three different categories: VEX IQ Challenge, VEX High School and VEX U.

It is the robotics competition that takes place over the VEX IQ product, which includes participants from 8 to 14 years old. 

VEX Robotics Competition
VEX High School
It is developed on the VEX EDR product for the age category of the VEX Robotics Competition that includes participants from 12 to 18 years old. 

VEX Robotics Competition
VEX U
It is developed on the VEX EDR product for the age category of the VEX Robotics Competition that includes participants from 18 to 23 years old.
